Alisyn Shaw ~ Executive Producer

Alisyn Shaw is the co-producer of Blue Fiddles. Working alongside Botto, she is a novice to the world of film-making, but not to acting. Her interest in acting goes back to childhood, convincing her grade school classmates to put on a play for their teacher, which meant she supplied the cast of five girls full wardrobe and props -all borrowed from her mother. She continued to act in more conventional ways while in high school and college, and then later became involved in local, independent films.
Alisyn met Nena through an acting class and they became fast friends after bonding in their common struggle to find good roles for women. When Nena started writing her series, Alisyn felt it had such real and honest characters that other people could relate to. “I laughed reading Sam’s lines the very first time -it really grabbed me”. They would meet and discuss filming it, and then meet again, when finally it was apparent to both of them that they wanted to make the dream a reality. "Blue Fiddles was a project I couldn't sit idly by and wait for it to happen", she says “I knew we would have to get it out there somehow".
Film-making as opposed to acting has proven to be an immense learning curve for Shaw. She’s learned more about herself and the bonds of friendship with Botto. “If we didn’t have each other I’d have thrown in the towel long ago!”
